Alec Bradley Double BroadLeaf Robusto
Wrapper: Connecticut BroadLeaf grown in Honduras
Binder: Honduran, Nicaraguan
Filler: Honduran, Nicaraguan
Alec Bradley’s Double Broadleaf is exactly what it sounds like. The Wrapper is Connecticut BroadLeaf, grown in Honduras and the binder is Connecticut Broadleaf from Nicaragua. It is paired with filler from Honduras and Nicaragua which gives birth to this experimental cigar from Alec Bradley Cigars. Let’s get into the review now!
As I lit this cigar I was greeted with a rich leathery note right off the bat! After about a minute or so the leather was joined by rich notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Eventually I started to taste pepper and a little bit of spice. About halfway through I got some earthy notes with hints of cinnamon that turned into a sweet sugary note. At the halfway point I got some sunflower seed notes, on the back end I tasted earth.
Normally I am not a fan of earthy cigars but as long as the flavor note blends with another note it is a nice addition to background flavor. Almost at the ending point I started to get some savory notes which reminded me of biting into a nice juicy steak. The ending of this cigar stayed about the same until the end.
From beginning to end this was a full bodied cigar. I know we have a lot of full bodied smokers here at Smoke Rings 72 so if you like full body and want to try something different this is certainly a great option!
If you buy any 3 Alec Bradley Cigars we will give you a FREE Double Broadleaf Robusto!
