Aladino Classic Robusto
Wrapper: Honudran Habano
Binder: Honduran Corojo
Filler: Honudran Corojo and Habano
We have brought in the Aladino Classic to the store to add to our Aladino Line up. JRE Tobacco wanted to put out a cigar with less of a Corojo profile and more of a classic taste so the name Aladino “Classic” stuck. I am smoking the Robusto size for the review because I believe that a smaller format cigar will be the best representation for this review.
Let’s light it up and see what this cigar has to offer! As I lit up this cigar I got some very nutty notes mixed in with a graham cracker like sweetness. After smoking for a couple of minutes the smoke transitioned to earthy and leathery notes with a hint of pepper in the background. This cigar is a high mild, low medium cigar throughout the entire time smoking it. I started to get some molasses and white pepper notes as I smoked on. I got some general spiciness which was highly enjoyable. Sweet and Spicy is the general theme of this cigar. Keep in mind that the habano wrapper used on this cigar is pretty fragile and during my time smoking this cigar there was a small amount of unraveling towards where the cigar was burning. It wasn’t a big issue but something to be aware of while smoking this cigar. Aside from the small issue the ash held on pretty well and burned well. As I ended the smoking experience I still tasted a lot of the same flavor notes.
This cigar isn’t very complex, however it is still enjoyable enough to where it doesn’t bore you. If you are a fan of honduran tobacco then this is a great cigar for you to check out next time you come in! Just turn to the right as you enter the humidor and look for Aladino Classic. Until next time, keep it smokey!
