Room 101 Daruma Toro
Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
The new Daruma by Room 101 is a new rendition to the original Daruma that came out a few years ago.
This cigar is a Nicaraguan Puro and is produced at the Oliva factory. With Room 101 being sold to Scandinavian Tobacco group (The parent company of General Cigars). This cigar represents a moving forward in the Room 101 history which is important, and reimagines Daruma for a new generation of consumer.
This cigar is extremely limited, only 2,000 boxes of 10 were made! Let’s light it up and see what this week’s experience will be like….
Upon lighting this cigar up I got a nice robust hit of earth, brown sugar and graham cracker notes. After a few minutes of smoking I started to taste floral notes on the forefront and earthy in the background. This cigar is a solid medium bodied cigar that has a few transitions although not as many transitions to flavor notes as other cigars, but this cigar is very enjoyable.
Next I started to get hints of baking spice and spice in general, I also got very slight hints of citrus and molasses towards the middle of the smoke. I got a very little bit of bitterness on this cigar but it wasn’t enough to not enjoy the smoke. Throughout my entire time smoking the cigar burned well, it ended with some pretty unique black pepper notes and did not end with any bitterness!
