Johnny Tobacconaut was a limited edition sub- brand under the Room 101 umbrella originally released in 2015. At this year’s PCA trade show this cigar has gotten a makeover and now produced at AJ Ferandez’s factory and is now a regular production cigar ready to invoke the palates of newer smokers to the brand as well as seasoned Room 101 cigar smokers.
When I walked into the shop today and I saw Johnny Tobacconaut my first thought was, I have to review it this week! So I am.
Upon lighting this cigar I am getting some nutty and cedar notes right off the first puff. I also got some creamy notes as well. I also noticed a very slight sweetness in the tobacco. This cigar is mild but full of flavor from the very first puff.
Towards the middle of the cigar I started to taste some white pepper and a little bit of earthiness mixed in with a small amount of Caramel which then transitioned into notes that reminded me of roasted peanuts with cinnamon notes on the back end. I haven’t experienced any burn issues while smoking this cigar, it burned well and I also didn’t experience any bitterness which was a good sign.
Johnny Tobacconaut ended on a great note, still mild and creamy but the flavor notes ended with a little bit of a graham cracker note. Overall this cigar was good so if you like a milder cigar with lots of flavor then you definitely have to check out Johnny Tobacconaut from Room 101.
As Boofy would say, “Treat your mouth hole!” Ask about it next time you come in and we will show you where it’s at! Until next time, Stay Smokey!
