Córdoba And Morales 19th Hole Maduro Robusto
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Broadleaf
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
This week I am reviewing Cordoba and Morales’ 19th Hole Maduro in the Robusto size. This is one of Z’s first Cigars from over 11 years ago. He was a golf instructor at the time and this was one of his first blends that is still popular today! Calling this cigar 19th hole is a reference to the 19th hole on the golf course. Golfing just happens to be another passion of Z’s and he combined the 2 and now years later this cigar is still doing great and spreading in popularity. Let’s light it up and see how it is!
(Word of warning, I have smoked this cigar hundreds of times so I am trying to smoke with intention to describe at this moment the flavor notes that I am getting. I only pay attention and try to pick out notes when I review cigars)
Upon the first light and first couple of puffs I tasted some hints of earth, cinnamon, cocoa and leather. After a few minutes the cocoa became more significant. After a few more minutes of smoking I started to get some spicy notes and a little bit of red pepper on the backend. This cigar is a solid medium to full bodied smoke and every time I smoke it, it delivers! I know this because I have been smoking this cigar for about a decade.
After the spicy notes finished up I started to get peppery notes, hints of sunflower seed and molasses. The cigar smoothed out towards the end with more peppery and cocoa notes and ended with no bitterness. I literally took it to the nub!
Come in and try this and other offerings from Cordoba and Morales including his 2 newest cigars “Empire” and “Raspadura” which we have available so come in and stock up!
Check out next week’s Shirtless Mike’s cigar of the week!
