Nova Platinum Cigars Platinum Batch Sweet Robusto
Wrapper: U.S. Connecticut Shade
Binder: Criollo
Filler: Dominican Republic
This week I am keeping my attention on Nova Platinum Cigars with the Sweet Robusto. I am reviewing this cigar for the lovers of sweet tip cigars because it is a flavor profile that quite a bit of our customers enjoy so I wanted to spotlight this cigar for you all this week!
As I lit up and began smoking this cigar I got some really sweet notes that tasted like sugar. I also tasted cream and a little bit of graham cracker notes. As I kept smoking I started to taste a small amount of spice on the tip of the tongue. A little earth is also in the mix of flavor notes with the sweet tip of the cigar being the main note throughout the entire smoke.
At about the halfway mark I started to taste red pepper notes that started to stand out from the sweetness of the cigar and it added a welcome change to the smoke. Unfortunately with this cigar there weren’t a whole lot of noticeable transitions to be had, although towards the end of the smoke the sweetness became a little less noticeable and a little more earthy.
All in all this was an enjoyable smoke for being out of my wheelhouse. For those who come in the shop asking for something with a sweet tip this is probably the best sweet tip cigar that we have in our humidor!
Next time you come in ask for Nova Platinum cigars Platinum batch sweet Robusto, you won’t regret it!
