Perdomo 12 Year Vintage Double Aged Connecticut Robusto
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Cuban Seed – Nicaraguan
Filler: Cuban Seed- Nicaraguan
This week I am reviewing the Perdomo 12 year Double Vintage Connecticut Robusto. What makes this cigar special is that the tobacco was aged for 12 years in a bourbon barrel. Regardless of the blend, the tobacco is aged the same way which makes it a unique smoke.
Once I lit up this cigar I got some oaky and charred flavor notes along with some cedar and redwood with a little bit of sweet undertones. The flavors I am getting are pretty far from other cigars that I usually smoke which makes it a nice change of pace compared to what I smoke constantly.
As I keep smoking the cigar I am tasting the aged tobacco and the flavor notes of bourbon which is tasting smokey when I retrohale. I am also starting to taste nutty notes and hints of espresso. As I keep smoking I am also getting some sweet caramel flavor notes as well. This cigar is mild all the way through and has been very enjoyable so far.
This cigar ends on a great note without any bitterness, just a little bit of earthiness and cedar and it ends fantastic! Look for it in our large perdomo section, come in and ask about it next time you come in!
