Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Sungrown Robusto
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Cuban Seed – Nicaraguan
Filler: Cuban Seed- Nicaraguan
This week I am Continuing my journey on smoking through the Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage and will be smoking the Sungrown in a Robusto Size!
Just like last week’s cigar, these are Cuban seed Nicaraguan cigars. The tobacco has been aged for 12 years and they are aged in bourbon barrels for 10 years. I went with the Robusto size due to time and just needing a quick overview on how each blend tastes. Without further ado let’s dive into the review and see what we are working with this week!
Upon lighting up this cigar I tasted some sweet creamy notes with hints from the bourbon barrel in the background. I also picked up a sweet spicy flavor note on the forefront as I kept smoking. So far this cigar is smooth and I am starting to get some almond and other flavor notes. The spice is continuing to be in the background as I smoke and reflect on the flavor notes that I taste. The ash is holding on great as well and so far this is a medium bodied cigar. Sweet notes continue to also be in the background as I smoke and I am currently a quarter into smoking and sweet and spicy keep interchanging and it is keeping this smoke interesting so far.
At about the halfway mark I started to taste some graham cracker notes along with some more nutty notes but more along the lines of roasted peanuts as well as a little bit of cedar notes. The bourbon barrel note is still prevalent and this cigar is still smoking great. Perdomo is known for their superior quality and this cigar is no different. This cigar ended on a great note. I didn’t get any bitterness, it ended smoothly with sweet notes and still tasted like a bourbon barrel.
If you like Perdomo Cigars then you will certainly like this one! These cigars are located in the Perdomo section as soon as you walk into the humidor keep straight and you will see them on the bottom shelf!
I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas from all of us at Smoke Rings 72. Thank you for reading my reviews every week and trying something new.
