Oliva Serie V Liga Especial Lancero
Wrapper: Habano Sungrown
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaraguan Jalapa Valley Ligero
This week I am smoking the Oliva Serie V Liga Especial Lancero.
It is very rare that I review a Lancero because historically in retail they are not the best selling cigar size. This week I decided to change it up a bit and for good reason!
When I lit up this beautiful cigar I got some amazing earthy but nutty flavor notes with a bit of cocoa and cedar mixed in. As I kept smoking I started to taste some herbs and a little bit of spice while smoking but the cocoa was still prevalent. I got a decent draw out of this cigar as well and great smoke production. Towards the second third of the cigar I started to taste some peppery notes along with some savory notes. Cocoa was still present in the background.
This cigar ends great except for a small amount of bitterness. To be honest when I do reviews I am also working helping customers and I was probably smoking just a little too fast which usually happens when I multi-task. I have smoked this cigar before and there wasn’t any bitterness so this was just an isolated case.
Overall this cigar was phenomenal and I would highly recommend that you try it! Ask about it next time you come in!
