This week I am Smoking the Powstanie Broadleaf Corona Gorda.
Last Week you got to hear about their Habano Blend so it’s only fair to give you a glimpse of what the broadleaf is like!
As I lit up this cigar and took the first few puffs I tasted a nice pepper blast with a graham cracker finish and got a huge outpouring of smoke! As I kept smoking the flavors transitioned to more of a spicy note along with hints of red pepper and gave me a little bit of bite on my tongue but that soon went away and the cigar got a lot more smooth as I continued smoking.
Towards the middle of the cigar the notes started to get a little sweeter and started to taste a little bit creamy which was a nice surprise! The intensity picks up after it mellowed out and I started to taste more of an earthy note mixed in with a hint of herbal notes and a small amount of sweetness makes its way back in the picture.
Overall this cigar is a full bodied cigar but it isn’t an overpowering. The cigar ends on a really good note, I didn’t taste any bitterness at all and it burned well.
Next time you come in ask about the Powstanie Broadleaf Corona Gorda and see for yourself what everyone is talking about it.
