This Week I am smoking something brand new to our humidor and also to the United States!
Valentino Siesto Cigars is a brand that Lou discovered while he was in Panama that is made in the Dominican Republic. He was thoroughly impressed with this cigar so he found out how to bring it to us at Smoke Rings 72! Currently we are carrying a Connecticut blend from them, Sun Grown and a Maduro all in a range of sizes to choose from! I decided to go with a Robusto size in the sun grown line. Let’s light it up to see what it’s all about!
As I took my first few puffs I tasted a lot of floral notes mixed with some sweet creamy notes with some nuttiness and a graham cracker like note on the back end. After a little while of puffing on the cigar I started to get a nice cedar note that became prevalent. So far this cigar is probably one of the more unique tasting cigars that I have smoked in a long time! As I kept smoking it I started to taste a very faint hint of black pepper and a little bit of cinnamon. Those notes quickly fade away into the next set of notes.
In the middle of my smoking experience I started to get some earthy but sweet notes and then they transitioned back to more of a floral note but it wasn’t as strong as in the beginning of the smoke. The flavors have all meshed together nicely throughout the entire duration of the smoke. This smoke ended on a great note with a little spice and I didn’t taste any bitterness. The cigar burned well up until the very end where it did burn a little weird but the taste was great during my time smoking.
Next time you come in you definitely need to check out the Valentino Siesto cigars and see why everyone is loving this brand so far!
Check out next week’s Shirtless Mike’s cigar of the week!
