Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robustus I
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
We recently brought in a few of the Plasencia line of cigars. This cigar is blended with some of their best 10 year aged tobacco!
The Plasencia family not only have their own cigar but they are farmers and grow tobacco to sell to other people.
The Alma Fuerte Robustus I is one of the newest Alma’s in their line up. This week I am reviewing the Alma Fuerte Robustus I.
When I first picked up this cigar I noticed that the wrapper is beautiful and inviting to smoke, so I accepted the invitation and lit it up! The first puff of this cigar I got some very distinct raisin and cherry flavors right off the bat. It was a warm welcome to the journey of this cigar! Those notes then transitioned into milk chocolate and coffee notes with leather on the back end. After I got past the first inch I started to taste some cedar notes mixed with a little earth and after a short time it transitioned into more of a floral note, which stayed for a while.
Overall this cigar is burning great. Towards the middle of this smoke I started to get some black licorice and coffee notes. This cigar has gotten bolder as I have been smoking it. Definitely a great addition to our humidor so far. Throughout my smoking experience this cigar has remained smooth and ended on a great note with no bitterness. Overall this cigar was a medium to full body and strength level. If you like Nicaraguan puro and you feel like treating yourself then look for Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robustus in our humidor. You won’t regret it!
