Howard G Cigars Magic Stick Habano Toro
Wrapper: Habano
Binder: Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan (Estelí, Jalapa)
This week I am reviewing the Magic Stick Habano by Howard G cigars in honor of next week’s cut and light. I first met Howard way before getting into the cigar industry and we have been friends ever since, so now that we are both in the cigar business it feels good to be able to support a friend in his endeavors and he does the same for me.
When I first lit this cigar up I immediately got some sweet flavor notes along with some earthiness. As this cigar opened up I also got very faint hints of pepper but it was by no means a pepper bomb. After a short time it became more peppery and I also started to taste coffee and espresso notes. During the middle of the smoke the pepper came back but this time it was a little more prevalent while smoking. I also started to taste graham cracker notes.
This particular Magic stick that I was smoking did have a tighter draw but it wasn’t so tight that it was annoying. I had to take it slow to make sure that it didn’t burn hot. The rest of the time smoking I got some nice leathery and sweet creamy notes mixed in with some more pepper through the end of the smoke.
Next time you come in it is definitely worth checking out all of Howard G’s cigars, next week Howard will be in the building on September 28th from 5-9PM with his first cut and light in our store. Keep in mind he brings a crowd so get here early to get a seat and to get your hands on this cigar and all of his other cigars!
Check back every week for the Shirtless Mike Cigar of the Week
