This Week I am reviewing the Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 858 Rosado Sun Grown.
This cigar is only available to Opus x Dealers, it is one of the few special cigars that we now get to carry. They only make small amounts of this cigar so before we sell out I used it as an excuse to smoke something that I don’t smoke often. Let’s light the cigar up and see what it is all about.
Upon lighting the cigar and taking my first puff I tasted earthy and floral notes with a very faint hint of pepper. As I kept smoking I started to get leather and cedar notes mixed with a little bit of cocoa. About halfway through the smoke I started to get a strong hint of spice which was fantastic! After a little while I got hints of sweetness that reminded me of a graham cracker and it was mixed with a small amount of earthy taste. The smoke transitioned into red pepper and got a little spicy once again and then transitioned to black pepper and went from spicy to peppery. After about 10 minutes the smoke went back to sweet graham cracker notes.
Throughout this smoke it stayed a solid medium body. This cigar is filled with interesting transitions and keeps my attention even while multitasking with other work related tasks in between writing out my notes. I recommend that you DO NOT wait to come in and try this cigar because we only have a limited amount! Next time you come in ask about it and we will direct you to where it is in our Fuente Section!
