Nova Cigars Platinum Batch Torpedo
Wrapper: Habano 2000 From Ecuador
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
To close out the review series of Nova Cigars, this week I am smoking the Platinum Batch Torpedo. This is a solid medium bodied cigar.
As I lit this up I tasted some notes of raisin and other dry fruits and a little bit of a floral note. As I got deeper into the smoke I then started to taste some sweet creamy notes which then morphed into some earthy notes for a couple of minutes. As I got to the middle of the smoke I started to taste more sweet notes coupled with hints of nuttiness and graham crackers.
This cigar has been a solid medium bodied smoke however, since I smoke a lot it tasted more mild to me. After the sweetness stepped aside for a few minutes I started to taste some black pepper, the sweetness was no longer in the forefront but still remained in the background. Hints of sunflower seeds then followed the black pepper along with cumin and more sweet notes.
This cigar was a real pleasure to smoke. I definitely recommend that you smoke it along with the other Nova cigars that I’ve reviewed over the last couple of weeks.
If you want something different, out of your normal routine of smoking then this cigar is sure to fit the bill! Ask about it next time you come in and we will show you where to find it in our humidor!
