Royal Salute by Arturo Fuente
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sungrown
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
This week I am reviewing Royal Salute by Arturo Fuente. Upon first lighting this cigar I was greeted with a little bit of a pepper bomb which was fantastic!
As I got into the cigar the pepper intensified and became more like black pepper and red pepper combined on the tip of my tongue, however on the retro hale I got these notes but through the nose it comes off as leather and cedar. As the smoke progressed pepper became less prominent and the smoke transitioned into more citrus and cocoa notes. This cigar transitions several times, the next transition I started to get hints of baking spice and a little cumin and later on I got some floral notes while smoking it.
Overall I am really enjoying this cigar! The burn is great and it is pretty complex and is stamped with the Quality that we have all come to expect from the Fuente Family. This cigar ends very smooth with some sweet graham cracker and spicy notes and ends on a good note.
This is a long smoke so come in and try it when you know you have the time to dedicate to it!
