This week I am smoking the Filthy Ghooligan by Alec Bradley Cigars. This is a release for Halloween and is a limited edition cigar, only 1,500 boxes of 24 were made!

If you are into Halloween then this is certainly a must try! I have already smoked a few of them prior to this review and already I think that it’s worth a try as I was already hearing this opinion before I  tried it so I certainly agreed. Now that we got that out of the way let’s light it up so I can remember what it’s like and pass along the nuances to you!

Upon the first light and first few puffs I tasted some earthy notes with a hint of red pepper and baking spices. After a couple of minutes I started to taste some natural cocoa notes along with a slightly floral note squeezed somewhere in there. At about the quarter mark I noticed that the notes I was getting switched from floral to more of a citrus still with cocoa in the background.

After a few more minutes I was hit with a pepper and spicy red pepper blast and the strength level increased on this smoke. The flavor opened up and became even more peppery about halfway through which was a nice transition since I really enjoy pepper. After the pepper calmed down I started to taste a slight hint of orange peel, the pepper was still present in the forefront but the 2 flavor notes married nicely causing a tingling sensation on my lips. A little while later the pepper note went from a red pepper to black pepper and once again intensified just a little bit for a couple of minutes and then mellowed out again.

At this point I started to taste hints of graham cracker and the closer that I got to the end I started getting other sweet notes such as caramel and a hint of vanilla cream. I didn’t get any bitterness whatsoever, this cigar did not disappoint as I have already mentioned earlier!

We only have a little bit left so come in and ask us about it and try it for yourself. Halloween is just around the corner!

Check out next week’s Shirtless Mike’s cigar of the week!
