The Plasencia Alma Del Cielo is brand new to the humidor and I have recently had the pleasure of smoking it! I decided to go with the Robusto size. Plasencia Alma Del Cielo has been highly anticipated and from what I hear from other Plasencia Enthusiasts, I was excited to try this offering and I sure wasn’t disappointed! From the first puff, the cigar’s flavor profile shines through, with bold notes of red and black pepper complemented by a subtle hint of white pepper. The peppery flavors are well-integrated, adding depth and complexity to the smoke.
Despite its robust flavor profile, the Cielo is surprisingly mild in strength, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a smooth, enjoyable smoke. The tobacco, grown at an impressive 3,500 feet above sea level at Nestor Plasencia’s grandmother’s farm. It clearly benefits from the high altitude, with a distinct character that sets it apart from other cigars.
As the cigar reaches its halfway point, the peppery and spicy notes begin to mellow out, revealing a smoother, more balanced flavor. This transition is seamless, and the cigar remains engaging and enjoyable throughout. This cigar also burned very well as I would expect from a Plasencia cigar. Overall, the Plasencia Cielo Robusto is a standout in its class, offering a unique blend of flavor and character that’s sure to please even the most discerning cigar enthusiast.
